Manisa Celal Bayar University (MCBU) is a public university located in Manisa, a beautiful historical city in the Aegean region of Türkiye. The university offers over 60 degree programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
More than 4352 staff are involved in working our organization (administrative staff: 2362, academic staff: 1984, foreign academic staff: 7). The aim of the university, with its approximately 38 thousand students (603 students are foreign students from all around the world - 2023) is to support student exchange programmes and thus to be able to provide the opportunity of having two diplomas. Besides these figures, MCBU has 91 agreements within the context of Farabi Exchange Programme, which is a local exchange programme (financially supported by the Council of Higher Education of Türkiye), 47 agreements within the context of Mevlana Exchange Programme, which is an international exchange programme (financially supported by the Council of Higher Education of Türkiye) and approximately a hundred agreements within the context of Erasmus Exchange Programme, which is an international exchange programme (financially supported by the European Commission and including Türkiye).
Manisa Celal Bayar University (MCBU) benefits the multicultural heritage of the city of Manisa, the history of which dates back to 1450-1200s BC. MCBU is among the leading universities in the Aegean Region in terms of number of students.
Our institution is striving to meet the highest standards in all areas of education and research taking into account the increasing globalisation and the educational expectations of modern society. Taking internationalisation for our natural mission, we provide a wide range of international Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes, subject-related foreign language courses and elective subjects dealing with international and intercultural topics. Furthermore, the Manisa Celal Bayar University supports world educational programmes, promotes mobility, non-formal learning and intercultural dialogue. The university is involved in the Bologna process and develops the European format of higher education.

There are 15 faculties, 3 colleges, 15 vocational schools, 2 schools, 32 research and application centers and a hospital.
Manisa Celal Bayar University has also a positive effect in the development of Manisa and its districts with its campuses in Uncubozköy, Muradiye, Demirci and with its vocational schools in nearly all of its towns.
