The Saruhanlı Vocational School Farewelled Its 30th Graduating Class

The 2024–2025 Academic Year Graduation Ceremony of Manisa Celal Bayar University Saruhanlı Vocational School was held with great enthusiasm in the school courtyard. The ceremony was attended by Rector Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar, Saruhanlı Mayor Ekrem Cıllı, Director of Saruhanlı Vocational School Prof. Dr. Ayşe Dinçer, academic and administrative staff, students, and their families.

After the moment of silence and the national anthem, Can Talukan, the top student of the school, spoke on behalf of the graduates, emphasizing that graduation is not just a diploma but the result of effort, sacrifice, and determination.

In her speech, Saruhanlı Vocational School Director Prof. Dr. Ayşe Dinçer expressed the excitement and pride of sending off the 30th graduating class of the 2024–2025 Academic Year.

“We provide quality education with our Business Management and Food Technology programs. Thanks to our expert and experienced faculty members, we prepare our students not only to have a profession but also as well-equipped individuals ready for life,” said Prof. Dr. Dinçer. She highlighted seminars, technical trips, and practice-based trainings integrated with the sector, organized to support the academic development of the students.

Thanking all academic and administrative staff for their dedicated efforts, Prof. Dr. Dinçer continued: “Having the support of our Rector Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar is a great source of motivation for us. She has once again shown her support by being here today, and I extend my gratitude to her. I also thank Saruhanlı Municipality for their contribution to the construction of our new school building.”

Addressing the graduates, Prof. Dr. Dinçer recalled Atatürk’s words, “All my hope is in the youth,” saying: “Today is not just a graduation but a new beginning for you. You will move forward guided by the light of science, adding value to yourselves, your families, and society. Education is a lifelong journey; as long as you continue to learn and develop yourself, success will be with you. I believe you will always proudly carry the Saruhanlı Vocational School identity on the path of science-based modern civilization and wish you a hopeful future.”

Saruhanlı Mayor Ekrem Cıllı, who also spoke at the ceremony, said: “Dear young people, today you are not just graduating from a school, but being sent off to the next stage of life. May your knowledge, effort, and determination illuminate your path. I wish you all success.”

Rector Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar, in her speech, touched on the humanitarian tragedy in Palestine and Gaza, expressing deep sorrow shared by all conscientious people.

Addressing the families, Rector Kibar thanked them for their support and dedication throughout the students’ education. “We have done our best to raise the young people you entrusted to us. With our expert academic staff, we prepared our students in the Food Technology and Business Management departments as well-equipped individuals ready for life. Today, we return them to you as professionals. Congratulations on their graduation,” she said.

Speaking to the young graduates, Rector Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar emphasized that university life is an important milestone: “Today you are not only closing a chapter but stepping into a new journey. Your diploma is not just a certificate; it represents your stance, identity, and values. We believe in you and trust you.

Our only request from you is to be compassionate, just, and hardworking individuals. Whatever job you do, strive to do your best. Today we send you off as our graduates, but remember, the doors of our university will always be open to you. May your path be clear and your graduation be blessed.”

 

The program concluded with the presentation of achievement certificates to the top-ranking students, distribution of graduation diplomas, and the traditional cap-tossing ceremony.
