Manisa Celal Bayar University's Faculty of Health Sciences held its 2023-2024 Graduation Ceremony at the Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center on the Health Campus. The ceremony was attended by Rector Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Kadir Ay, academic and administrative staff, guests, students, and their families.
The program began with a moment of silence and the Turkish National Anthem. Following this, Şevval Çaylak, the top graduate from the Nursing Department, delivered a speech on behalf of the graduates.
Prof. Dr. Seyhun Kürşad, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, congratulated the students and provided an overview of the faculty's accomplishments.
Rector Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar started her speech by addressing the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Palestine. She condemned the atrocities and emphasized the importance of remembering and not forgetting the suffering of the innocent people affected.
Prof. Dr. Kibar highlighted that approximately 550 students from four different departments graduated this year, contributing to the 6,000 graduates the faculty has produced for the healthcare sector so far. She expressed pride in these accomplishments.
In her address to the families, Prof. Dr. Kibar acknowledged their sacrifices and support throughout their children's educational journey. She expressed gratitude to the academic staff for their dedication, which has led to the accreditation of two departments and is expected to extend to the other two. She also thanked the administrative staff for their continuous support.
Addressing the graduates, Prof. Dr. Kibar said: "Dear graduates, you are now equipped with the best training to serve various segments of society in the health sector. With the diplomas you have earned through hard work and perseverance, you are ready to serve our country, nation, and state with dedication. We have great faith in you and trust in your abilities. I wish you all success in your future endeavors. May your paths be clear and may God be with you."
The graduation program concluded with the presentation of achievement certificates to top students and diplomas to all graduates, followed by a joyful cap-tossing ceremony.
