EGEKAF'25 Career Fair Concluded with Great Interest

With Digital Transformation and Career Opportunities, EGEKAF'25 Prepared Students for the Future

Organized under the auspices of the Presidency Human Resources Office and hosted by Manisa Celal Bayar University, the Aegean Career Fair (EGEKAF'25) took place on February 26-27, 2025, at the MCBU Şehzadeler Campus and concluded with great success. This year's fair focused on the theme "Society 5.0" and the effects of technology in the business world, bringing together nearly 50,000 students.

Sports, Art, Media, Science, and Business Meet at the Fair

EGEKAF'25, a two-day event organized in collaboration with 16 universities, hosted career talks, workshops, panels, and competitions. The fair provided students with the opportunity to meet representatives from various sectors and shape their career plans. Important figures from sports, art, media, science, and business participated as speakers. Simultaneous events held in parallel halls ensured that participants had access to more opportunities.

The Manisa Governorship, the Manisa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Manisa Organized Industrial Zone Directorate were the main sponsors of the Aegean Career Fair, with 1,500 student volunteers helping to organize the event.

Emphasis on Digital Transformation with the "Society 5.0" Theme

An important innovation of the fair was the digital solutions provided to students through the MCBU Campus software. The MCBU Campus software was synchronized with İŞKUR, enabling the tracking of students' job and internship search activities. This digital approach perfectly aligned with the "Society 5.0" theme, preparing students for the business world with digital skills.

The opening ceremony held on February 26 at the Şehzadeler Campus was marked by large participation and an enthusiastic atmosphere. After the event, it was emphasized that the fair provided students with the opportunity to make direct contact with the business world and contributed significantly to their career planning. Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar stated, “EGEKAF'25 not only enabled our students to make direct contact with the business world but also helped them enhance their digital competencies. The fair brought students together with career opportunities and acted as a bridge preparing them for the future business world. The theme 'Society 5.0' provided an important foundation for our students to establish a stronger presence in the digitalized world. Innovative applications like the MCBU Campus software reinforced the organizational success and made it easier for students to track job applications and internship processes. We once again witnessed how important such events are for enabling our youth to participate more effectively in the labor market.”
