Manisa Celal Bayar University (MCBU) has crowned over 33 years of academic and administrative experience with the achievement of Full Accreditation status. The university’s Conditional Accreditation, which was granted in 2022, has been upgraded to Full Accreditation for a period of five years by decision of the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK), following comprehensive improvement efforts.
Thanks to systematic efforts during the conditional accreditation period, significant progress was made in key areas such as Leadership, Governance and Quality, Education and Teaching, Research and Development, and Social Contribution. As a result, the university's quality assurance system was transformed into a more institutionalized and sustainable structure.
An interim evaluation conducted within the framework of the Institutional Accreditation Program (IAP), led by YÖKAK, confirmed that MCBU successfully met higher education quality standards.
Commenting on the development, Rector Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar emphasized that this significant milestone was achieved through collective commitment and institutional cooperation, stating:
“We have successfully passed another major threshold in our journey toward quality assurance in higher education. The Full Accreditation status granted by YÖKAK is the highest level of recognition that confirms the institutional maturity, sustainable quality vision, and academic-administrative integrity of Manisa Celal Bayar University. This achievement reflects not only our past accomplishments but also our strong vision for the future.”
Rector Kibar further underlined that the university embraces quality as a culture rather than a goal, adding:
“With this decision, our university has further strengthened its national and international reputation, now also reflected in our diploma credentials. This success, achieved through the joint efforts of our academic and administrative staff and students, inspires us to aim even higher in education, research, and societal engagement. I would like to thank all those who contributed to this achievement—including our academic and administrative personnel, students, and all internal and external stakeholders—who dedicated themselves to the improvement process during the conditional accreditation period.”
Rector Kibar also extended her gratitude to YÖKAK, which plays a leading role in embedding a quality culture in higher education, emphasizing the Council’s pivotal role in guiding the quality and accreditation processes of universities in Türkiye.
