Manisa Celal Bayar University 2024-2025 Spring Semester Started with the Online Opening Lecture by Rector Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar

Manisa Celal Bayar University started the 2024-2025 Spring Semester with an online opening lecture by Rector Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar, held via Microsoft Teams as an 'Online Meeting'. Rector Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar began by greeting all participants and said, "Since 2019, we have been organizing the career fair under the auspices of the Presidential Human Resources Office, and this year, we are hosting the fourth edition as Manisa Celal Bayar University. The eagerly awaited Aegean Career Fair will open its doors at our Şehzadeler Campus on February 26-27. We will hold the best fair in Turkey in Manisa together with all of you. As Manisa Celal Bayar University, we are expecting more than 65,000 participants."

Rector Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar also mentioned that EGEKAF'25 will be carried out in collaboration with 15 partner universities, public institutions, NGOs, and industries, and provided information on what the event area will offer. She stated, "Manisa Celal Bayar University’s Şehzadeler Campus is within walking distance of the Manisa train station and is 68 kilometers away from the airport. Additionally, rail transport is of great importance for students coming to the fair."

The main sponsors of the fair are the Manisa Governorship, Manisa Organized Industrial Zone, and the Manisa Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Prof. Dr. Kibar emphasized that this career fair, being the largest event organized for the first time both for our university and Manisa, would be prepared with great attention to detail. She added, "One of the most important aspects of the fair is the contribution it will make to students in terms of internships and employment. For this, two important institutions, the Manisa Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Manisa Organized Industrial Zone, have supported us for you. We are confident that this fair will make a huge impact compared to other fairs. We hope for your participation and that you will benefit to the fullest. We are working for this. Not only the sponsors but also other participants will be present. Job and internship opportunities, representatives from many different sectors will be there. We expect all our students from the university to attend. We have invited speakers from all sectors who will guide you in your career planning. We believe that each of you will have the chance to meet with different individuals in the interview programs based on your areas of interest and engage in one-on-one conversations with them."

After the opening lecture by Rector Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar, Lecturer Mehmet Nuri Öğüt from the Project Coordination Application and Research Center advised participants to obtain a QR code for easy entry to the fair area at the 26-27 February event held at Manisa Celal Bayar University Şehzadeler Campus. He also provided technical information about the fair area, explained the programs to be held, and gave detailed descriptions of the participating companies.

Lecturer Mehmet Nuri Öğüt also shared detailed information about applying for EGEKAF'25: "With the mobile application we developed, when our students come to the fair area, they will find a platform where they can apply for internships and jobs. We will direct them to the relevant companies and businesses based on their applications, and there will be incredible job and internship opportunities available for you, as many as the numbers we receive. I hope you do not miss this wonderful fair that focuses on your career development. I look forward to seeing you at the fair."
