Manisa Celal Bayar University has been awarded support by TÜBİTAK for the project titled "The Power of Geometric Thinking Habits: Online Applications for Graduate Students II" under the TÜBİTAK 2237-A Scientific Education Activities Support Program.

According to the results announced by TÜBİTAK for the 2024/1 period, among the supported projects nationwide, Manisa Celal Bayar University has achieved another success as the coordinator with its project on the Power of Geometric Thinking Habits.

The project, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Buket Özüm Bülbül from the Faculty of Education at Manisa Celal Bayar University, aims to provide graduate students with knowledge about geometric thinking and geometric thinking habits, software-supported geometry teaching, and the exploration of transformational geometry. This will be carried out by ten expert faculty members from various mathematics education programs at different universities in Turkey.

By the end of this project, which will be conducted with graduate students, it is expected to increase awareness in this field by including activities that can serve as examples for classroom applications of geometric thinking habits. Additionally, it aims to equip graduate students with the skills to become technologically literate individuals. The project, hosted by Manisa Celal Bayar University, includes partner institutions such as Trabzon University, Gaziantep University, Ordu University, and Giresun University.
