The 30th edition of Manisa Celal Bayar University’s traditional Sports Events has officially begun at the Indoor Sports Hall of the MCBÜ Şehit Prof. Dr. İlhan Varank Campus. Organized with the participation of university staff, the events aim to strengthen athletic solidarity and institutional unity.

This year’s competitions will take place across four sports disciplines: futsal, tennis, basketball, and volleyball. The opening match featured a showdown between staff teams from the Faculty of Applied Sciences and the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. The tournament officially started with the kickoff made by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Çetin. Teams will compete according to a pre-determined fixture, aiming to advance to the finals.

The sports events will conclude on May 30, when the final matches will be held. At the closing ceremony, trophies and medals will be awarded to the top-ranking teams.
