Manisa Celal Bayar University swimming athletes achieved great success at the Turkish Interuniversity Swimming Championship organized by the University Sports Federation.
Competing at the Middle East Technical University, the athletes secured the following rankings:
Özlem Yetim (Department of Coaching Education, Faculty of Sports Sciences):
First place in the 50-meter Backstroke event
First place in the 200-meter Backstroke event
Second place in the 50-meter Freestyle event
Nehir Toker (Department of Coaching Education, Faculty of Sports Sciences):
First place in the 50-meter Freestyle event
First place in the 100-meter Freestyle event
Second place in the 50-meter Backstroke event
Kaan Yalın Çullu (Department of Coaching Education, Faculty of Sports Sciences):
Third place in the 400-meter Individual Medley event
Second place in the 400-meter Freestyle event
Second place in the 800-meter Freestyle event
With these achievements, Özlem Yetim and Nehir Toker were also honored as the top two performers in the "Most Valuable Female Performances" category.
Team coach and Faculty Member of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, Assoc. Dr. Erkan Günay, stated, "Our athletes worked very hard and deserved this success. I am proud of them. This success we achieved in this championship promises hope for the future. Our goal is to achieve even greater success in the coming years."
