A meeting focusing on sustainability efforts was organized by the Sustainability Campus Coordination of Manisa Celal Bayar University. The meeting was attended by Rector Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Oktay Üçer, Secretary General Erhan Doğan, and numerous academic and administrative staff.

Sustainability Campus Coordinator Prof. Dr. Ali Demir began his presentation by emphasizing the importance of sustainability at both global and local levels, providing information on the ongoing projects at the university. He specifically highlighted the projects aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals in areas such as infrastructure, energy and climate change, waste management, water sustainability, transportation, and education during the university's GreenMetric application process.

Rector Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar stated that the university management approaches sustainability with great sensitivity and expressed full support from the rectorate for all ongoing efforts. Prof. Dr. Kibar emphasized that sustainability initiatives are of strategic importance not only for the university but also for the city and the country.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Sustainability Campus Coordinators Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Erkan Turan, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kıvanç Başaran, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tuna Can Güleç, as well as the President of the Sustainable Environment Commission Prof. Dr. Nüket Tirtom, the President of the Energy Commission Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kıvanç Başaran, the President of the Sustainable Water Management Commission Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Ali Kumanlıoğlu, and members including Dr. Instructor Begüm Dağlı, Research Assistant Ecem Tuncer, the President of the Transportation Commission Dr. Instructor Dilay Yıldırım Uncu and members Dr. Instructor M. Sinan Yıldırım, Research Assistant Adem Özer, the President of the Education Commission Dr. Instructor Gülbin Kıyıcı, Sustainable Living Commission member Dr. Instructor Hatice Gürgen Şimşek, Sustainable University-Industry Cooperation Commission member Dr. Instructor Tuğçe Yağcı, Digital Transformation Coordinator Dr. Instructor Volkan Altıntaş, and the Head of the Construction Affairs Department Eyüp Serhan Güven.
