MCBU Rector Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar Attended the November 10th Commemoration Ceremony Organized by the Manisa Governorship

The founder of the Republic of Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, was commemorated on the 87th anniversary of his passing with ceremonies held in Manisa. The ceremony took place in front of the Atatürk and National Sovereignty Monument at Cumhuriyet Square and was attended by Manisa Governor Vahdettin Özkan, Manisa Metropolitan Mayor Besim Dutlulu, MCBU Rector Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar, provincial protocol, district mayors, representatives of public institutions and organizations, civil society members, and citizens.

As part of the program, wreaths were laid at the Atatürk Monument, and at 09:05, the sirens were sounded, marking a two-minute moment of silence. The ceremony concluded with the reading of the National Anthem, and the commemoration at Cumhuriyet Square came to an end.

 

The program continued with an oratorio titled "The Unfading Light", prepared by Hasan Türek Anadolu High School. The event, coordinated by the Manisa Governorship's Provincial Directorate of National Education, was held in the Conference Hall of the Manisa Provincial Public Library. It was attended by Manisa Governor Vahdettin Özkan, Manisa Metropolitan Mayor Besim Dutlulu, Manisa Celal Bayar University Rector Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar, and provincial protocol. The oratorio, performed by students from Hasan Türek Anadolu High School, conveyed the life of Atatürk and the founding process of the Republic through historical narratives and stage interpretations. "The Unfading Light" was enthusiastically watched by the attendees and received great appreciation. The program concluded with applause from the audience.
