Manisa Celal Bayar University Köprübaşı Vocational School bid farewell to its 2023-2024 academic year graduates with a grand ceremony. The ceremony, held on the university campus, was attended by Köprübaşı District Governor Yağmur Şimşek, Rector Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar, Köprübaşı Mayor Fatih Taşlı, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Çetin, protocol members, academic and administrative staff, graduating students and their families, and numerous guests.

The ceremony began with a moment of silence and the national anthem. 29th term valedictorians, students from the Justice Program Meryem Ece Çitrak and Melike Yalçın, gave speeches on behalf of the graduates.

Köprübaşı Vocational School Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Yurddaş began his speech by expressing that the graduating students are a source of pride for the Vocational School and their families. He continued: “In your future professional and working life, your priorities should always be the interests and development of the Turkish State. Never have any fears; trust in yourselves. With the provider of our sustenance ensuring our needs, we should not complicate our lives with unnecessary worries. Never give up under any hardship or unfavorable condition; remember that ‘Destiny loves effort’. Strive to do beneficial work for humanity, our State, and our nation. Never compromise on honesty and integrity in your professional or personal lives. Always stand with the truth.”

Rector Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar, in her speech, said, “With a proud history spanning 32 years, our university sends off thousands of graduates each year under the light of science. We are extremely happy to share in the joy of our families on this proud day. I wish success to the new graduates of our Köprübaşı Vocational School, which has produced approximately 5,000 graduates to date, and wish them well on their journey.”

The ceremony concluded with the presentation of plaques and gifts to the top-ranking students, the awarding of graduation certificates to all graduates, the reading of the Graduation Oath, and the traditional cap tossing.
