The 'MCBU Campus' mobile application, developed by Manisa Celal Bayar University, received significant attention on its first day of use during the EGEKAF'25 event. The app broke records by being downloaded over 15,000 times in just one day, making it one of the fastest rising applications in the education category both in Turkey and worldwide. According to monthly statistics, it became the second most downloaded app in the education category.

MCBU Campus was developed to enhance student and company interaction and strengthen the digital infrastructure of EGEKAF'25. The mobile app development process was led by MCBU Computer Engineering student Eren Malkoç, while the algorithm and content planning was carried out by Mehmet Nuri Öğüt, a member of the MCBU Project Coordination Application and Research Center.

What Does the Application Offer to Students and Participants?

The MCBU Campus app was designed to guide students and participants during the EGEKAF'25 process. The app attracted attention with its innovative features that made the fair experience easier. It provided participants with efficient processes such as "the ability to apply directly for internships and jobs, filtering events by company, event type, and industry, easy access to event locations with map guidance, digital signature system for documentation, and a fun fair experience with surprise reward games."

While the app was primarily used during EGEKAF'25, it was also developed as a long-term digital platform for Manisa Celal Bayar University students. Future updates will include integration with the student information system, academic calendar, online services, and additional features related to campus life.

This project, realized with the support of the Project Coordination Application and Research Center, the Information Technology Department, and the Corporate Communication Coordination of Manisa Celal Bayar University, has reinforced the university’s pioneering role in the field of educational technologies.
