The 2023-2024 Academic Year 3rd Term Graduation Ceremony of Manisa Celal Bayar University (MCBÜ) Faculty of Fine Arts, Design, and Architecture was held at the Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center in the Health Campus.
The event was attended by Rector Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar, Vice Rectors Ahmet Çetin and Oktay Üçer, academic and administrative staff, families, and students.
The program began with a speech by Kerim Beytullah Tezcan, the top graduate of the faculty, representing the graduates.
Prof. Dr. Oğuz Dilmaç, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Design, and Architecture, expressed his well-wishes for the graduates, noting that this year's ceremony also saw graduates from the Department of Architecture.
Rector Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar remarked that the students had reached the end of one of the most special periods of their lives, their university education. She emphasized that the Faculty of Fine Arts, Design, and Architecture at Manisa Celal Bayar University had strived to provide the highest level of education over the past four years.
Rector Prof. Dr. Kibar highlighted the pride felt by the families on this significant day: “Every parent dreams of their child having a successful career. Today, you experience that well-deserved pride. Our young architects and musicians, each highly skilled in their field, are graduating today equipped to serve at the highest level. We return to you the children you entrusted to us four years ago as experts in their respective fields. Congratulations and best wishes to all.
Dear architects, you now have a long journey ahead to bring your visions to life. We send you off from our university as capable architects ready to leave lasting marks on people’s lives. We believe that each of you will achieve projects beyond your dreams. To our esteemed graduates from the Music Department, we have witnessed your dedication to the universal nature of art and the unifying power of music in your performances. We wholeheartedly believe that you will continue to accomplish great things. Congratulations on your graduation; may your path be bright and your journey blessed. May God be with you.”
The program continued with the presentation of achievement certificates to the top-performing students and graduation certificates to all graduates. It concluded with a musical performance by students from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Design, and Architecture's Music Department, followed by the traditional cap toss.
