"The faculty members of the Department of History at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences of Manisa Celal Bayar University transcribed the announcement of the Republic published in the Hakimiyet-i Milliye Newspaper dated October 30, 1923, in the context of the Centennial Celebrations of the Republic.

Printed in the university press in 1923 copies, this transcription was presented during the Republic Day Torchlight Procession by Rector Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar to Governor Enver Ünlü, Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Cengiz Ergün, and the Manisa Protocol.

This special newspaper, which was also gifted to the people of Manisa by students of Manisa Celal Bayar University at the stand opened at the July 15 Democracy Square, received great interest and enthusiasm.

Regarding the matter, Rector Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar stated, 'During the struggle for independence and freedom under the leadership of the founder of our Republic, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the Hakimiyet-i Milliye Newspaper became a symbol of the power and determination of national will. This newspaper has been a mirror reflecting the freedom and independence struggle of the Turkish nation and, at the same time, a representative of national will. Today, on Republic Day, by distributing this special newspaper we prepared, we want to remember the most crucial period in our history and express our loyalty to the Republic.'"
