In line with its vision of internationalization, Manisa Celal Bayar University hosted an important academic visit. Within the scope of the Erasmus+ KA171 Project (2022-1-TR01-KA171-HED-000078867), a high-level delegation from the reputable Kosovo-based institution, Public University “Kadri Zeka”, visited our university.

The delegation, led by Prof. Dr. Artan Dermaku, Rector of Kadri Zeka University, included Prof. Dr. Dukagjin Leka, Vice Rector and Responsible for International Relations, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Shejnaze Gagica, Board Member. The visiting delegation was welcomed by the International Relations Coordination Office, and then received by Rector Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar in her office.

During the meetings, academic relations within the long-standing Erasmus+ KA171 cooperation were evaluated, with important decisions made, particularly regarding the development of joint master’s and doctoral programs. As one of the tangible outcomes of the discussions, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the two institutions, further deepening institutional collaboration.

In the second part of the visit, the delegation visited the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, where they met with Prof. Dr. Tuğba Özacar Öztürk, Chair of the Department of Computer Engineering, and faculty members. After receiving comprehensive information about the faculty and department, the delegation toured the laboratories and classrooms, and exchanged ideas on potential areas for academic collaboration.

The visit of the Kadri Zeka University delegation is seen as one of the strategic steps taken in line with Manisa Celal Bayar University’s internationalization policy, and it is expected that this cooperation will deepen further in the coming period.
