The "Career Summit '24" event organized by the Food Engineering Department of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences at Manisa Celal Bayar University took place at the Prof. Ümit Doğay Arınç Cultural Center.
Under the sponsorship of Keskinoğlu A.Ş., Abalıoğlu Lezita Gıda San. A.Ş., Pınar Süt A.Ş., Bortar Group A.Ş., PepsiCo, Fersan A.Ş., Brew Mood, Özsüt, Matador Unlu Mamuller, and Kervan Gıda A.Ş., and with the efforts of the Volunteer Food Engineers Club, the event brought together Food Engineers who graduated from MCBÜ Food Engineering Department and hold managerial positions in various enterprises in the first session titled "Career Journey of Food Professionals" to share their experiences and professional journeys with department students.
Following lunch, the event continued with speeches on the importance of professional organization by Ömer Ulaş Kırım, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Food Engineers Association Izmir Branch, a presentation titled "Being a Food Engineer in the Public Sector" by Dr. Ali Güler, Head of the Food Technologies Department at the Manisa Viticulture Research Institute, and a talk on "Being a Food Engineer in Sales and Marketing" by Dr. Duygu Benzer Gürel, Product Manager at Abalıoğlu Lezita Gıda San. A.Ş.
Deniz Ükünç, R&D Manager at FERSAN A.Ş., spoke about the importance of R&D studies in the food sector, while Assoc. Dr. Anıl Başaran, Deputy General Manager of MCBÜ Manisa Technopark TTO, discussed entrepreneurship.
In the final session of the event, Irmak Önder Özalp, HR Specialist at Pınar Süt A.Ş., conducted a workshop on "Preparing for Interviews," and Hüsniye Sürmeli, Human and Culture Chief at FERSAN A.Ş., led a session on "CV Preparation Journey" together with the students.
