Manisa Celal Bayar University Gördes Vocational School bid farewell to the 29th term graduates with a magnificent ceremony. The ceremony, held in the school courtyard, was attended by Rector Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Çetin, Gördes Mayor İbrahim Büke, Gördes Vocational School Director Assoc. Dr. Selim Duramaz, Deputy District Youth and Sports Director Fatih Çetintaş, KYK Gördes Dormitory Director Ahmet Yıldırım, Deputy Youth Center Director Hatice Cavuldak, academic and administrative staff of the school, and student relatives.
In the 2023-2024 academic year, Cansu Soydemir became the top student of the Finance program. Rector Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar presented the plaque to Cansu Soydemir, who topped the success register.
Giving the opening speech, Gördes Vocational School Director Assoc. Dr. Selim Duramaz said, "I express my gratitude to all Gördes residents who have enabled us to graduate thousands of students from this beautiful building over the years, and to all academic and administrative staff who have served our school and retired so far." Addressing the students, Duramaz said, "You are the ones who will leave your mark on the future strong and great Turkey. You will achieve this by working hard. Just as Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk said, we only need one thing, and that is to work hard and be hardworking."
Gördes Mayor İbrahim Büke said, "The students here are our guests, and we will always be by their side. We see our graduates as cultural ambassadors of Gördes. I sincerely congratulate our valuable families for raising such bright young people. Congratulations to our graduates."
In her speech, Rector Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar said, "Our university, which has a rooted history of 32 years, bids farewell to thousands of graduates every new year in the light of science. We are extremely happy to share in the joy of our families on this proud day. I wish success to the new graduates of our Gördes Vocational School, which has produced around 5,000 graduates so far. May their paths be open."
After the awards were given to the students who achieved success, a music performance was staged by the Faculty of Education Music Education Department faculty members Assoc. Dr. Ata Tuncer and Dr. Seçil Soytok Nalçacı. The performance was greatly enjoyed by the guests.
The Graduation Ceremony ended with students receiving their symbolic graduation certificates and tossing their caps.
