Prof. Dr. Pınar Güzel Gürbüz, Vice Dean of Manisa Celal Bayar University Faculty of Sports Sciences and Head of the Department of Recreation, broke new ground in the history of sports as the first Turkish woman referee elected to the World Referee Board by the World Karate Federation.

Stating that she has completed her fifteenth year as a European referee and her tenth year as a World referee, Prof. Dr. Güzel Gürbüz stated that she welcomed this historical success with excitement and honor.

Rector Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar congratulated Prof. Dr. Pınar Güzel Gürbüz, who has achieved a great success as an internationally recognized referee, and wished her continued success.
