As part of the “Train the Trainers” program, Manisa Celal Bayar University organized an online Academic Data Management System (AVESİS) User Training for its academic staff.

The training was conducted by Burak Sarıca from ABİS Technology. Participants received detailed information on the general operation of the AVESİS system, academic data entry processes, integration with international researcher IDs (such as ORCID, Publons), and the system’s importance in academic performance evaluation.

In his opening speech, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Kadir Ay stated that the AVESİS system is a strategic tool that allows the university’s scientific productivity to be monitored in a more systematic, visible, and sustainable way. He also emphasized that digitally recording academic activities in an organized and accessible manner is critical for quality assurance processes and for visibility in international university rankings.

Academic staff who attended the training were awarded verifiable Digital Participation Certificates.

All academic personnel are expected to complete their profile information in the AVESİS system by June 13, 2025.
