A cooperation protocol aimed at supporting the education, employment, and social inclusion of individuals with disabilities was signed between Manisa Celal Bayar University (MCBÜ) and the Turkish White Crescent Association.
The signing ceremony, held at the MCBÜ Rectorate, was attended by Rector Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Çetin, White Crescent Association President Lokman Ayva, Manisa Branch President Architect Fisun Kumbaracı, Board Member Yasemin Koyunsever, and Coordinator of MCBÜ’s Disability Counseling and Coordination Unit Dr. Öğr. Üyesi M. Özhan Kalaç.
Under the protocol, both parties will collaborate to carry out awareness-raising activities for people with disabilities, develop joint projects in the field of accessibility, and enhance educational and employment opportunities. The protocol will remain valid for three years and will be implemented through the joint efforts of both institutions.
During the ceremony, White Crescent Association President Lokman Ayva stated that the cooperation would contribute to the nationwide vision of a barrier-free society, while MCBÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar emphasized that the university’s ongoing efforts in accessibility would be further strengthened through this protocol.
