Athletes from Manisa Celal Bayar University Sports Club achieved outstanding results, proudly representing both Türkiye and the university at the Plovdiv Aerobic Open Cup held in Bulgaria.

The national athletes of Manisa Celal Bayar University Sports Club continue to make their mark on the international stage. Competing in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, Ayşe Begüm Onbaşı and Can Derviş returned home with medals for Türkiye.

Ayşe Begüm Onbaşı delivered an exceptional performance in the Women’s Individual Category, earning 20.300 points and claiming the gold medal. Her success did not end there — with the same score, she was also honored with the prestigious Prof. Maria Mineva Cup, awarded to the athlete with the highest score of the competition.

In the Mixed Pairs Category, Ayşe Begüm Onbaşı and Can Derviş demonstrated excellent harmony and skill, scoring 18.900 points to win the silver medal and secure their place on the podium.

MCBU Rector Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar congratulated the athletes and their coaches for representing the university in the best possible way. She expressed her pride in their achievements and conveyed her confidence that their success in national and international competitions would continue.
